Project Manager IS

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate pigging operations at Flint Hills’ Pine Bend Refinery, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, branch management, and field crews.
• Plan and communicate crew schedules, job expectations, and daily work scopes.
• Maintain, inspect, and service pigging equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on diesel engines and Waterous pumps as required.
• Cook up and coordinate rental equipment and ensure all required assets are on site and functional.
• Oversee equipment staging areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, and safe.
• Manage on-site pigging equipment inventory and cleaning pig availability.
• Complete and review job documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Prepare pigging/decoking reports for client delivery.
• Enforce proper paperwork and documentation standards across the crew.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in industrial or refinery environments, preferably supporting pigging, decoking, or similar mechanical services.
• Hands-on mechanical experience performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, pumps (including Waterous or similar), and auxiliary equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage equipment, inventory, and job documentation.
• Comfortable acting as a client-facing representative, providing updates and addressing issues professionally.
• Able to work independently, make sound decisions in the field, and respond effectively to changing job conditions.
