Job Responsibilities
- Assess the scope of work and resources required to complete the project.
- Auxiliary in project planning, value-added engineering means and methods, development of work packages, and preparation of production indicators/benchmarks.
- Develop and interpret production goals for craft supervisors.
- Track quantity data and measure productivity.
- Collaborate with the project management team to track and report project costs to senior management.
- Generate and maintain the project submittal log, requests for information log, and correspondence with client/owner.
- Coordinate the transmittal and subsequent approval of all submittals to the Owner/Engineer.
- Establish and maintain a project change order log that ties to the UAR.
- Oversee supervision of total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
- Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Assume responsibility for productivity, quality, and safety, efficient use of resources, materials, and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means, and methods); supervision, estimating, schedules, budget, and safety required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills essential.
- Significant independent judgment required.
- Willingness to travel.
