Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor. These guidelines are subject to change based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (e.g., emergencies, training, or other business needs).

About the Role

In this role, you will manage large, complex transmission projects in Connecticut within a multi-external stakeholder environment. You will ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently, within scope, on schedule, and within budget. You will work closely with management personnel in Transmission Asset Management, Transmission Planning, Design, Land Planning, Construction and Test, Finance, Regulatory Relations, Legal, and Purchasing. Assigned projects are multi-disciplined, sensitive, and have elevated financial exposure, requiring direct communications with senior management. You will represent Eversource as the expert witness for ISO-NE CSC and other regulatory evidentiary proceedings. As part of the management team, you will utilize proven leadership skills to manage team performance and develop individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of large, complex transmission projects, including coordination of regulatory approvals and interface with regulators, local elected officials, and town department managers.
  • Oversee the development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design, and construction, as well as procurement of materials and support systems.
  • Ensure all project aspects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Take ownership of project scope, schedule, and budget for high-risk, large-scale projects such as major substation builds, intricate interconnection agreements, or transmission line construction.
  • Provide written and oral presentations to senior management, governmental agencies, and outside organizations.
  • Prepare written responses for local, state, or federal regulatory proceedings.
  • Represent Eversource at municipal meetings, homeowner meetings, and other stakeholder gatherings.
  • Guide and advise less experienced personnel to foster a more productive workforce.
  • Manage team performance by setting expectations, defining performance standards, and providing timely feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred), Finance, Business, or equivalent degree/experience.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Project Management or related experience.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required.

  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
  • Proven leadership, teambuilding, coaching, problem-solving, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to schedule, plan, and manage numerous complex transmission projects concurrently.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to listen, write clearly, make presentations, and work effectively with all levels within Eversource, government agencies, and outside organizations.
  • Ability to analyze project information, determine facts, and make well-thought-out recommendations/decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret information and align project decisions with corporate and transmission business strategic plans.
  • Ability to assess team members' abilities and adapt leadership styles to optimize performance.

Working Conditions

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $122,700.00 - $136,330.00. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
