Project Manager II
Primary Purpose
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects that support client and organizational objectives. Manages project schedules, deliverables, communications, risks, and stakeholder engagement while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Works independently on day-to-day project activities and collaborates with senior team members on complex issues and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong project organization, task management, and follow-through across multiple priorities.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control project activities, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communications, and risk management.
- Cook up and distribute meeting outcomes, including key discussions, decisions, action items, risks, and dependencies; and ensure appropriate follow-up and accountability.
- Develop content and budgets for bids and proposals in areas that are the same or similar in scope to currently managed projects.
Qualifications
- Active Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification with a minimum of three (3) years of certification.
- Bachelor's degree in a health, technical, or management field (such as health informatics, public health, information systems, computer science, or business administration).
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, including planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects.
- Experience using tools for project management and collaboration, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment with federal partners and other federal contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- If required by the project, must be able to successfully complete and obtain a federal Level 5 Position of Public Trust background investigation.
- Advanced degree in a health, technical, or management field.
- Experience supporting federal healthcare programs, including work with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), or other HHS agencies.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects, workstreams, or task orders.
- Experience preparing project-status reports, briefings, dashboards, and meeting materials for government and organizational leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple federal stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendor partners.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project-management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority.
- Experience supporting proposal development, task-order responses, or federal-contract management.
- Strong skills in risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
