About the role

This position has been approved for Full Telework, requiring work within the State of California only. If Partial Telework is approved, you will also be required to come into the Main Office in Orange, CA, at least two days per week. The Project Manager II will support all aspects of a project throughout its lifecycle, including scope, schedule, resources, quality, cost, and change. You will deliver small and medium projects simultaneously, coordinating multiple impacted areas across the organization. Responsibilities include interfacing with project stakeholders, representatives of other agencies, and vendors, as well as providing project status monitoring and reporting. Project assignments will involve technology and/or business-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborate with others to support short- and long-term goals.
• Ensure projects are delivered with quality, on agreed-upon timelines, and with minimal disruptions due to issues or risks.
• Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
• Create project charters that include scope and objectives, project resources, known issues and risks, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical and business feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Develop detailed project plans or tasks with resource assignments, due dates, and track progress with minimal supervision.
• Identify and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources using negotiation skills and escalations as necessary.
• Manage internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
• Measure project performance and proactively resolve issues and risks with key stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with all stakeholders and ensure collaboration among the project team.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as status reports, risk/action/issue/decision logs, and respond to project inquiries.
• Complete other duties as assigned (10% of role).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience managing projects with low to medium complexity, duration, organizational impact, and costs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• 2 years of experience working with healthcare delivery systems and/or in a public agency serving the related population (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to visually read information from computer screens, forms, and other printed materials.
• Ability to speak clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects, patients, and/or equipment weighing 10 to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• If located at the 505 Building or a remote work location: Work is typically indoors and sedentary, subject to schedule changes and variable work hours, with travel as needed. No harmful environmental conditions; noise level is usually moderate.
• If located at PACE: Work is typically indoors in a clinical setting serving the frail and elderly. Harmful or hazardous environmental conditions may be present; noise level is usually moderate to loud.
• If located in the community: Work is typically indoors and sedentary, subject to schedule changes and variable work hours, with travel as needed. May occasionally work outdoors in varied temperatures. Harmful or hazardous environmental conditions may be present; noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Pay

Pay Grade: 312 – $84,092 - $134,548 ($40.43 - $64.6865 per hour). The final salary offered will be based on education, job-related knowledge and experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
