Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Publishes engineering papers and/or articles.
- Plans, designs, and directs projects from inception to completion.
- Manages project budgets.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Maintains accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
- Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping, and estimating project costs.
- Maintains meaningful relationships with clients.
- Attends meetings or events outside of normal working hours as needed.
- Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.
- Observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Ensures staff receive specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in ancillary structure inspection and ancillary structure design/repair design.
- Ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and perform both structural inspections and design.
- Highly motivated, technically driven professional looking for career growth.
- Up to 50% travel may be required.
