Project Manager I or II - Carolinas Dispatchable Generation North and Central Zones (NC)
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, oversight management, delegation and coordination to the various internal and external organizations that are providing services to the project (engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, EHS, QA/QC, operations, communications, regulatory, security, fuels, transmission, etc.).
- Structure, lead, and/or assist in leading all project related meetings and reports required to ensure open communication between all team members, key stakeholders, and management (monthly project reviews, kickoff meetings, etc.) and to properly report project status.
- Present reports to appropriate management / governance team skillfully.
- Plan assigned project(s) including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality and closeout. This includes but not limited to scope definition, estimating, schedule creation and monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, vendor selection, start-up and commissioning plans, and integration processes such as turnover to operations, and warranty management.
- Execute projects with a focus on Event Free and Operations Quality, according to plan within designed scope, cost and schedule limits.
Qualifications
- Basic/Required Qualifications – PM I: Associate degree2 years related work experience. In Lieu of Associate degree, HS Diploma/GED and 5 years related work experience.
- Basic/Required Qualifications – PM II: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related work experience, High School Diploma / GED AND 9 years related work experience.
- Desired Qualifications: Project Management Professional, Professional Engineer
- Additional Preferred Qualifications: PM-I: Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving, Project related work experience, Risk Management, Project Leadership, Proven Collaborative Team Member, Utility Experience, Construction Management knowledge, Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls; PM-II: Proficient to demonstrated Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving, Project related work experience; Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight, Utility Business Unit Experience as determined by BU ranging from Regulated or Commercial energy services experience, Construction Management knowledge, Proficient to Expert in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls
Benefits
Hybrid – Selected candidate will be required to be at a station or office at least three (3) days per week.
