About the Role

This position is responsible for managing small, low-risk projects with an administrative focus from initiation and strategy development to completion. The role may also manage a project sub-set that is part of a larger project, requiring coordination. This is a project management position with no direct reports, responsible for executing short and long-term objectives for the project. The position leverages indirect staff to accomplish results, defines problems, scopes parameters, develops strategies, task/solution specifications, identifies and secures needed resources, and develops and updates project plans, timetables, and milestones. The role maintains and distributes documentation and communications to keep team members informed, on task, and on time. It identifies structures of authority and processes for decision-making within the project and manages the execution of the plan and post-implementation evaluation of outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small, low-risk projects with an administrative focus from initiation to completion.
  • Manage a sub-set of a larger project, requiring coordination with other teams.
  • Define project problems, scope parameters, and develop strategies and task/solution specifications.
  • Identify and secure needed resources for project execution.
  • Develop and update project plans, timetables, and milestones.
  • Maintain and distribute project documentation and communications to keep team members informed and on task.
  • Identify decision-making structures and processes within the project.
  • Manage the execution of the project plan and conduct post-implementation evaluation of outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One (1) year of project management experience, preferably in hospital/healthcare operations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Above-average verbal communication skills, with heavy public contact.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PC, and typing.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
