Responsibilities
- Manage overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers
- Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
- Allocate project estimates into the financial system and manage budgets
- Approve invoices and provide financials and billings to accounting
- Create monthly owner billings and oversee budget for trade partners and suppliers
- Handle billings, contract management, and contract buyouts
- Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Assign job tasks and facilitate career development
- Approve timecards and provide ongoing performance feedback
- Serve as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative
- Auxiliary with owner agreement reviews and resolve site concerns
- Execute change orders and obtain necessary approvals
- Build positive relationships through frequent interactions and service
- Work effectively with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Lead by example, provide coaching, and manage team performance
- Manage schedule and budget until project completion
- Manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum six years of construction management or related experience
- Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projects
- High level of detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
