The Project Manager role at Dennis Group involves managing projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring successful project outcomes, and supporting client relationships.
- Assist in managing projects from planning through commissioning including developing key success criteria and ensuring their achievement.
- Aid in the development of project scope, budget, schedule, and critical path elements.
- Prepare RFIs, develop procurement plans, manage permits, and oversee equipment installations.
- Manage project budget and expenses, oversee contract and change order administration, and coordinate design team on-site support activities.
- Provide on-site supervision and interface with clients, work in client facilities and construction sites.
- Utilize multiple software programs (MS Office, CAD, Navisworks, MS Project, SharePoint, etc.) and research project management best practices.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Construction Management, or Architecture. - 3+ years of experience within a design-build, General Contractor company. - 3+ years of experience with MEP industrial construction projects, preferably food and beverage or pharmaceutical projects. - 3+ years of experience with Building construction, Project scheduling, Construction estimating, and Construction Safety. - Basic understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other design software. - Familiarity with sanitary environments is a plus. - Must meet overnight travel requirement of not less than 50% (70-120 nights out of town annually).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standing and walking the jobsite over rough terrain can be expected.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirement
- Projects are located throughout the United States and Canada.
- Regular collaboration with owners, A/E teams, subs, building officials, etc.
- Overnight travel requirement will be not less than 50% (70-120 nights out of town annually) of any given time of the year.
