Responsibilities

  • Aid the Dean in managing the administrative aspects of the Faculty Council and the Alumni Office as well as Commencement events.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to Faculty/Executive searches, accreditations, academic affiliations, and tracking Endowed Chairs.
  • Maintain Dean's office directories and assist with handbook/policy updates.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Alter plans and make recommendations for future project phases or future projects, based on lessons learned from the project.
  • Participate in budget development for the project.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confer with staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, including consultants and other outside vendors.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • May oversee participating members of the project to ensure communication is timely and accurate, and that the project needs are met, including documentation for the project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree; project management-specific experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite; advanced skills in Excel is strongly preferred.
