Responsibilities
- Aid the Dean in managing the administrative aspects of the Faculty Council and the Alumni Office as well as Commencement events.
- Handle administrative tasks related to Faculty/Executive searches, accreditations, academic affiliations, and tracking Endowed Chairs.
- Maintain Dean's office directories and assist with handbook/policy updates.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Alter plans and make recommendations for future project phases or future projects, based on lessons learned from the project.
- Participate in budget development for the project.
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Confer with staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, including consultants and other outside vendors.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
- Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- May oversee participating members of the project to ensure communication is timely and accurate, and that the project needs are met, including documentation for the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree; project management-specific experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite; advanced skills in Excel is strongly preferred.
