The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support.
SNC has led thoughtful and disruptive change in the aerospace and defense industry for the past 60 years and now, we’re applying this tenacity and expertise to the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission. Join the SNC-led SAOC team and be a part of exciting and meaningful work to modernize and deliver the next-generation SAOC aircraft trusted by the President, Secretary of Defense and Chairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to ensure continued critical command, control and communication during national emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from design to release, including project initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
- Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Identify necessary resources for projects and coordinate their allocation.
- Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
- Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) through preparation and oversight of baseline updates, variance inputs, and EAC forecasts, ensuring EVMS data integrity and adherence to SNC requirements.
- Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
- Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
- Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
- Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
- Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.
Qualifications
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Top Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar tool.
- Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.
- Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution.
- Experience in resource planning and management during project execution.
- Experience with risk management planning and documentation.
- Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.
