Project Manager - Heavy Civil

About the company

We’re a Portland based heavy civil contractor and a state certified DBE/MBE firm, signatory to the union. We self perform most of our work, from demo and earthwork to underground utilities and site concrete, on public infrastructure across the metro, including transit corridors, roadways and parks. We’re big enough to land major public work and small enough that your voice actually shapes how the job gets built.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through closeout, including roadway, utilities, earthwork, site concrete and paving
• Own the budget, monthly forecasting, cost control and change orders
• Build and maintain CPM schedules and coordinate closely with superintendents and union craft
• Act as the main point of contact for public owners like TriMet, the City of Portland and ODOT, including DBE and workforce reporting
• Support estimating and bid reviews on upcoming public work

Requirements

• 5 plus years managing heavy civil or public infrastructure projects on the contractor side
• Experience on public jobs from $5M to $60M, ideally with prevailing wage and DBE requirements
• Comfortable working with union craft and running the job from the field
• Strong grasp of cost control, forecasting and scheduling (MS Project, P6 or HCSS)
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent field experience

Pay

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
