About the role
This reputable general contractor in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area is seeking a Project Manager to join their construction team. The role offers growth opportunities within the department, including leadership in the pre-construction team, and focuses on healthcare construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
- Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with AHCA, Joint Commission, NFPA, OSHA, and healthcare-specific requirements.
- Oversee infection control risk assessments (ICRA) and interim life safety measures (ILSM).
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while promoting repeat business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare construction project management.
- Proven experience with AHCA guidelines and healthcare-specific construction regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
