About the role

The Marketing Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of multiple marketing projects, including integrated campaigns, product launches, website initiatives, and major events. They will build and manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on schedule. They will facilitate sprint planning, capacity planning, and workload management across cross-functional teams, including Design and Marketing. They will partner with marketing leaders to prioritize initiatives, identify risks, and adjust plans as business priorities evolve. They will design and improve repeatable project management processes, templates, and workflows that increase team efficiency and visibility. They will manage and optimize Monday.com boards, automations, and integrations with tools such as Slack to streamline collaboration and execution. They will track project progress, monitor key milestones, and communicate status updates to stakeholders while driving accountability across teams. They will analyze project and campaign performance data, prepare reports and presentations, and identify opportunities to improve delivery and operational performance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong experience managing marketing projects from planning through execution in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar tools, with advanced knowledge of workflow management and automation.
  • Experience facilitating Agile or Scrum practices, including sprint planning and resource allocation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-informed approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience collaborating across marketing functions, including Brand, Product Marketing, Communications, and Growth Marketing.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, or marketing automation tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably within a marketing or digital agency setting.
  • Proven success in managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 per year, plus an annual performance bonus. We take into consideration an individual's background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary. In addition to annual salary, Smartly's total rewards provide employees with stock options, medical/dental/vision insurances, retirement savings benefits, parental leave, 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, life insurance, and disability benefits. This information is provided in accordance with applicable law. Base pay information is based on market location. Salary in USD: $100,000 - $125,000
