About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Professional Project Manager with experience in the sign industry. The ideal candidate will be the linchpin of pre-sales opportunities and our projects, managing the entire lifecycle from initial client consultation to final installation. You will act as the crucial link between our clients, designers, and production team, ensuring that every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an in-person role and you must live in the Columbus MSA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact and manage projects from consultation through installation, setting clear expectations and maintaining consistent communication.
  • Build and manage schedules, budgets, resources, site surveys, permits, kickoffs, and progress meetings while coordinating designers, production staff, fabricators, installers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Track costs, protect margins, and manage supplier and contractor performance to deliver cost-effective results.
  • Review deliverables from design proof through installation, uphold quality and brand standards, and resolve risks before they affect schedule, budget, or client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven project management experience in sign manufacturing or a closely related industry. Branding, rebranding, or large-scale program experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of signage design, fabrication, installation, materials, permitting, ADA requirements, project management methods, and related software.
  • Ability to manage 40–80 projects in different phases, maintain attention to detail, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent written, verbal, client-service, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse clients, employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to protect margins, evaluate vendors, meet KPIs, and apply strong aesthetic judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus a collaborative, coachable, growth-oriented attitude.
  • Must live in the Columbus MSA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, or a similar credential is helpful but not required.
