Project Manager for Assessment & Accreditation

Job Summary

The Department of Medical Education in the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Staff Associate / Project Manager for Assessment & Accreditation. Reporting jointly to the Associate Dean of Assessment and the Department Administrator, the Project Manager for Assessment and Accreditation is responsible for overseeing and assuring that the logistics of administering the assessment program for the Department of Medical Education in the College of Medicine runs smoothly and efficiently. The position supervises 4 FTEs and manages these positions fairly independently.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Educational Administration or an equivalent field.
• 5 to 7 years of related experience in a fast-paced academic environment, including 3 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven track record for managing complex projects with a keen attention to detail, and a proven track record of working effectively with diverse personalities and multiple stakeholders.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail as the position supports the assessment of medical students progressing through the 4-year medical education curriculum.
