About the role
This role involves managing projects from start to finish, determining project length and costs, conducting environmental assessments, and providing technical support to field service locations.
Responsibilities
- Prepares necessary equipment, labor, regulatory and technical aspects of projects
- Manages and conducts environmental assessments, investigations, and remediation activities
- Assesses project needs in terms of equipment and labor to determine project length and costs
- Maintains responsibility for adherence to timeframes and budget throughout the project
- Develops project objectives through proposal preparation and planning
- Schedules resources, submits required paperwork, and prepares written plans and compliance documents
- Monitors and updates clients on project progress during site visits
- Negotiates changes in original project plans and adjusts costs accordingly
- Supervises personnel involved in field operations and provides technical support
- Performs field activities such as sample collecting if necessary
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Requirements
- 25-30% overnight travel
- Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement plus hotel and per diem for travel
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (chemistry, engineering, environmental science) or 7+ years of experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services
- CHMM certification preferred
Qualifications
- Experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services (3+ years required)
- Ability to travel to customer sites and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to be on-call
