Summary

As a Project Manager, you will manage one or more projects, which may involve highly-complex, and/or sensitive projects within the Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS). This office provides cradle-to-grave acquisition, project, and financial management support.

Duties

  • Operates as a Project Manager providing technical and acquisition support for commercial and/or non-commercial acquisitions, including but not limited to Information Technology (IT) services, Professional Services (PS), digital services, operations and maintenance, and managed services on a national scale.
  • Manages projects in accordance with all pertinent DoD or agency specific regulations acquisition authorities and principles.
  • Facilitates the development of interagency agreements between FAS and the customer agency in a fee-for-service environment.
  • Prepares or assists customers with the development of Statements of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statements (PWS), including but not limited to Information Technology (IT) services, Professional Services (PS), digital services, operations and maintenance, and managed services requirements.
  • Collaborates with Contracting Officers, providing acquisition solutions to meet agency needs, and demonstrates an understanding of various contract types (Firm-Fixed Price, Labor Hour, Time and Materials, etc.).
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders to precisely define program requirements and objectives.
  • Develops, monitors, and manages project budgets and contractual spend, ensuring careful planning and allocation of financial resources.
  • Oversees the financial aspects of contracts and agreements, including budgeting for contractual obligations and ensuring compliance with financial terms.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service, managing various types of contracts (Fixed-price, Time and Material, Labor Hours, etc.) for commercial and/or non-commercial acquisitions, including but not limited to Information Technology (IT) services, Professional Services (PS), and/or managed services/supplies. Such experience must include: project management, monitoring contractor performance, and applying financial management principles and practices to acquisitions.
