About the role

Bednark Studio is known for delivering complex projects on tight timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards. The key to success in the Project Management Office is strong communication skills and time management. We are a client service company first, and therefore our Project Managers must be able to build strong relationships with our clients, without compromising a streamlined engineering and building process. We maintain a leveled Project Management structure to ensure clarity around scope, responsibility, and compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the scope of work for an assigned project, delegate project-related needs, and put together an actionable plan for production.
  • Lead the team in working with Draftspeople, Designers, Fabricators, Scenics, and Subcontractors to see that the client vision is executed and delivered on schedule and to the Bednark standard.
  • Day-to-day communication with clients to create trust and goodwill.
  • Evaluate and process client feedback of all categories.
  • Deliver the client's message to the appropriate party, and provide the appropriate context.
  • Responding to the client on the shop’s behalf.
  • Identify and communicate project challenges and brainstorm solutions with clients.
  • Develop build proposals that consider their budget and timeline as well as our shop capabilities and bandwidth.
  • Analyze every project for value engineering.
  • Follow Bednark's process to streamline production.
  • Develop and track samples.
  • Cover all change orders along the project timeline.
  • Ensure all project documents are current and accurate.
  • Takeoffs on materials and submit purchase requisitions for all required materials and goods including outside vendor services.
  • Identify and describe the Bednark Scope of Work (SOW) and develop the project budget/estimate.
  • Keep quotes current with change orders and updates to the scope.
  • Document all approvals, days, and date.
  • Review quotes from vendors to ensure they align with the budget.
  • Maintain project margins per management.

Requirements

  • Understanding of fabrication and building methods.
  • Ability to read and redline technical drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Experience working in a shop and communicating with cabinetmakers.

Skills

Benefits

Salary is based on experience and skill set.

Pay

Level 1 - Project Manager Salary Range: $85-90K.
Level 2 - Project Manager Salary Range: $90-100K.
Level 3 - Project Manager Salary Range: $100-110K.
Level 4 - Project Manager Salary Range: $110-120K.
