Project Manager - EV Infrastructure

About the role

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Land Development Project Manager to join our EV Infrastructure team. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex and/or multi-service projects for Westwood. They will ensure the successful completion of projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality results. The Project Manager will also provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with service leads to coordinate project activities.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for multiple EV Infrastructure projects and clients at once.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
• Cookordination and management of project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Development and implementation of project plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Overseeing project work and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Tracking project health and taking corrective action when necessary.
• Managing uncertainty and change, such as scope creep and change orders.
• Ensuring timely invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
• Supporting the electrical engineering aspects of EV Charging Facilities.
• Supporting the electrical engineering aspects of Energy Storage Projects.
• Overseeing the review of utility service/interconnection requirements for various utilities and managing the technical portions of service/interconnect applications for EV clients.
• Cookordination and collaboration with other project disciplines including civil engineers, geotechnical/structural engineers, and surveyors.
• Ability to conduct electrical engineering design and develop construction documents for EV projects.
• Staying updated on the latest equipment and industry best practices.
• Managing land development civil engineering projects efficiently (meets schedules and budgets).
• Administering the construction services portions of projects including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
• Strong knowledge of utility service requirements and interconnection processes.
• Basic understanding of electrical calculations and studies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• 3-5 years of experience in a project manager or similar role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering design for EV Charging projects.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Experience in the commercial land development market.
• Experience managing complex and/or multi-service projects.
• Experience with program management.
• Advanced knowledge of project financial management.
• Experience with contract negotiation and management.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
