Project Manager - Estimator (Rockford)

About the role
We’re looking for an Estimator/Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial projects caused by fire, water, mold, and natural disasters. This role involves developing client relationships, managing projects from start to finish, and collaborating with an assigned Construction Superintendent. Ideal candidates have both sales and project management experience, preferably in disaster restoration for commercial accounts or large losses.
Responsibilities
- Support and implement the Company’s Project Quality Planning and Control process.
- Initiate and maintain liaison with clients and contacts to facilitate successful project execution, including attending client meetings and ensuring satisfaction for marketing purposes.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
- Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of the on-site Superintendent to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Evaluate construction progress and team performance to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts and reporting.
- Identify potential legal problems and litigation risks, reviewing them with the Branch Manager.
- Oversee project close-out completion.
- Represent the company in project meetings.
- Provide technical assistance and support to all project team members.
- Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects with current clients.
- Lead internal teams focused on continuous business improvement.
- Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarize yourself with all Policies and Processes relevant to this position.
- Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk.
Requirements
- Experience in restoration and construction.
- Experience with Xactimate.
- Prior disaster mitigation estimating experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel out of town.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay
$75,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
