Project Manager / Estimator - Commercial HVAC

About the role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a knack for estimating and a passion for commercial HVAC projects? Our client, a leading firm in the construction industry, is looking for a skilled professional to lead and estimate mechanical projects, primarily focused on HVAC, piping, and sheet metal work for commercial office buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage HVAC mechanical projects from start to finish including scheduling, coordination, and execution.
• Prepare accurate estimates and manage change orders to keep projects on budget.
• Oversee design-build processes as part of integrated project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with an in-house full HVAC shop, which includes sheet metal fabrication, service departments, and installation teams to ensure smooth project completion.
• Use tools like Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore to streamline communications and project documentation.

Requirements

Proven project management and estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction, preferably HVAC. Experience handling change orders and engaging in design-build projects.

Skills

Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic team that handles everything in house, from fabrication to installation.
