Project Manager EPMO
About the role
We are hiring multiple Project Managers to support Digital Services strategic priority projects in our west (Grand Rapids) region from now until the end of 2027. Must be able to work onsite at least 40% of the time at our Grand Rapids locations.
Essential Functions
- Oversees multiple small to mid-sized, medium-complexity projects with appropriate departmental and leadership relationship management and project management.
- Responsible for all aspects of a project over its entire life cycle: Develops project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Covers project work and completes projects on time and within budget.
- Works with the constituent Project Managers/workgroup leads/Business Analysts responsible for the execution of their areas of a project to monitor cost, schedule and technical performance of component project and operation, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the projects.
- Affairs with resource requirements for a project and negotiates for resources with management to meet project plan deliverables.
- Organizes and works with appropriate leadership, departments, and leaders to plan and schedule the coordination of people and tasks as needed to accomplish project objectives.
- Able to coordinate activities of numerous, diverse areas simultaneously.
- Serves as a liaison for projects between various departments within Corewell Health.
- Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to stakeholders/business partners to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
- Analyzes and documents processes, procedures, and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.
- Adheres to the Corewell Health Project Management methodology and quality standards.
- Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management and the Corewell Project Management methodology and toolset.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate's Degree / Technical school or equivalent, 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
- PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Preferred: Experience leading projects or gathering business requirements, Experience working on clinical projects within with the Epic ecosystem (highly preferred), Experience working on large facilities projects, Experience managing small to medium project teams (2 to 7+) within a matrix organization, and projects in multiple technologies and/or business functions, CRT - Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI Project Management Institute.
