Job Summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leading provider of proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. This position oversees and coordinates the operational aspects of a portfolio of Engineering projects across various resource groups and serves as a liaison between Engineering Senior Leadership and engineering management teams, planning, engineering, line management, and customers on operational and scheduling concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of project plans and manage resources to ensure project schedules, budgets, quality, and specifications are met.
  • Evaluate organizational effectiveness and provide data-supported recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor project progress and intervene or solve problems with project management, line management, and customers.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and present results to project management teams and management.
  • Collaborate across management and project teams to expand services and business opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and other regulations.
  • Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Lead and provide direction and guidance to employees working on assigned projects.
  • Participate or lead segments of the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure work is accomplished safely.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in project administration, with at least three years in project management.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management.
  • The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects, identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop solutions to complex issues.
  • Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance is required.
