Project Manager - Engineering
Responsibilities
- Assists in development of project proposals or plans, including timelines, budgets, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
- Works with Functional Managers to address technical issues and ensure timely engineering releases, reporting to relevant departments.
- Assists with the setup of work plans and staffing for each project phase, and handles recruitment or assignment of personnel.
- Facilitates compliance to product specifications, standards, and legal regulations.
- Mets with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities.
- Oversees project activities to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget, communicating plan adjustments if necessary.
- Tracks project progress, manages risks, and prepares reports for management and clients.
- Assists in project activities with government agencies.
- Provides technical advice and resolves issues with project personnel.
- Collaborates with external Liebherr companies on project activities.
- Applies project management methods, procedures, and tools.
Requirements
- Project Manager Level 1: Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or a related field and up to 2 years of project management experience. Experience in an engineering environment is preferred but not required. PMP Certification or international equivalent is highly desired but not required.
- Project Manager Level 2: Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or a related field and 2 to 4 years of project management experience. Experience in an engineering environment is preferred but not required. PMP Certification or international equivalent is highly desired but not required.
- Project Manager Level 3: Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering field or a related field and 2 to 4 years of project management experience in the mining industry, 5 to 8 years of project management experience overall. Experience with projects spanning multiple business units, continents, and time zones. PMP Certification or international equivalent is required.
- Sr. Project Manager Level 4: Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or related field and 4 to 6 years of project management experience in the mining industry, 8+ years of project management experience overall. Experience with projects spanning multiple business units, continents, and time zones. PMP Certification or international equivalent is required.
