On-Site: Henderson, CO Rate: $45.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Job Summary Create and distribute engine core condition reports and root-cause failure analysis reports to customers. Apply comprehensive knowledge in performing skilled activities supporting the product engineering team and manufacturing business needs. Collaborate with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, and specialty equipment. Demonstrate thorough understanding of safe work protocols with electricity and other energy sources in industrial environments. Act as a formal team resource, leading and coordinating others as needed. Adapt quickly and effectively to changes in the manufacturing environment. Experience: Minimum 3 years in the industry. Core Responsibilities Complete Failure Analysis and Core Condition Reports for customer distribution.Core Condition Reports require:Use of ExcelEditing photosIdentifying types and severity of engine component wear using manufacturer-specific classificationsProfessional, clear communication with branches and field engineersFailure Analysis involves:Using Microsoft WordPhotographing and editing images of engine componentsHandling a wide range of parts depending on type of failureApplying critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to determine failure root causes, particularly for 45/50/60/78L enginesConsistent, professional communication with branches and field engineersOccasional cross-functional collaboration with engineering teamsHost customer visits as needed to review Core Analysis and Failure Analysis reports.Support product engineering projects, including data collection and documentation using Excel and internal collaboration systems.Prepare technical documentation for knowledge sharing and productivity improvements.Maintain compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards:Stop work and report hazards or injuries immediatelyUse required personal protective equipment (PPE)Proactively improve workplace safety and environmental impactParticipate in HSE trainingEnsure high standards of quality and craftsmanship:Support equipment failure analysisWork from diagrams, manuals, and specificationsPerform quality inspections and feedback for preventive maintenanceMaintain and document preventive/corrective/predictive maintenance activitiesKeep work area clean and organizedWork with teams to identify and solve manufacturing constraints, improve processes, and implement solutionsCommunicate effectively with assigned and supporting teamsComplete personal training and development per business needsParticipate in improvement teams (e.g., Total Productive Maintenance) to enhance quality, safety, process, and employee development Qualifications And Competencies Competencies Collaborates: Works well in partnerships to meet objectivesCommunicates Effectively: Delivers clear, audience-aware communicationsCustomer Focus: Builds strong relationships and provides customer-centric solutionsDecision Quality: Makes timely and impactful decisionsSelf-Awareness: Uses feedback and reflection for personal growthDrives Results: Delivers consistent outcomes, even under pressureAccountability: Holds self and others to commitmentsManages Complexity: Effectively solves multi-faceted problemsNimble Learning: Learns through experimentation and adapts to changeHealth & Safety Fundamentals: Champions proactive safety actions and interdependent cultureControls Safety: Identifies and manages safety hazards (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic)Manufacturing Knowledge: Implements process and equipment improvements to drive continuous improvementValues Differences: Recognizes and appreciates diverse perspectives and cultures Required Skills Knowledge and experience with engine components and systemsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); training provided as neededHigh-quality photo-taking and editing skills (training provided)Clear, professional communication (in-person, virtual meetings, and email)Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with 45/50/60/78L products from industry-leading diesel engine manufacturers, especially in mining applicationsAt least 3 years’ experience with engine disassembly/assembly and/or field troubleshooting Education, Licenses, Certifications High school diploma or completion of secondary education, or equivalent relevant experience per applicable regulations As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
