About the role
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, coupled with a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: source, negotiate, and facilitate new business.
- Proposal and Contract Management: create and deliver proposals inclusive of scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.
- Client Relationship Management: develop strong working relationships with clients.
- Project Oversight: assemble and guide a team of consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the preparation of documentation developed by the technical team.
- Project Performance: ensure on-time, quality delivery and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Financial Management: manage financial activities of the project including tracking revenue, issuing invoices, and recovering receivables.
- Quality Assurance: ensure that Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
- Innovation: track industry developments and innovations to deliver relevant services and new, innovative deliverables.
- Presentations and Conferences: regularly develop and deliver presentations at project meetings, workshops, and industry events.
Requirements

- Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
