About the role

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, coupled with a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: source, negotiate, and facilitate new business.
  • Proposal and Contract Management: create and deliver proposals inclusive of scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.
  • Client Relationship Management: develop strong working relationships with clients.
  • Project Oversight: assemble and guide a team of consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the preparation of documentation developed by the technical team.
  • Project Performance: ensure on-time, quality delivery and meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Financial Management: manage financial activities of the project including tracking revenue, issuing invoices, and recovering receivables.
  • Quality Assurance: ensure that Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
  • Innovation: track industry developments and innovations to deliver relevant services and new, innovative deliverables.
  • Presentations and Conferences: regularly develop and deliver presentations at project meetings, workshops, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Pay

$100,000 – $140,000 per year
