About the Role
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager III is to manage and coordinate the progress of orders through order review, meetings, follow-up, and communication with internal departments and customers until completion. This role coordinates amongst various business units, manages and evaluates projects of varied complexities, and ensures effective communication and control through status reports, meetings, and updates. The Project Manager III represents the company as a professional and knowledgeable resource for successful and profitable project completion. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of project orders.
- Coordinate and attend meetings (e.g., production, drafting, kickoff, project review, customer/conference calls).
- Maintain a project review list.
- Coordinate between all internal departments and customers regarding shop drawings, order changes, and other project-related topics.
- Review, understand, and respond to internal department questions, concerns, or RFIs (requests for information) in a timely manner via phone or email.
- Follow up with internal departments regarding project statuses.
- Review drawings against the contract, Letter of Intent, Quote, or clear Sales direction.
- Apply knowledge of CS products, fabrication processes, building construction, and contract documents.
- Follow up on jobs out for approval, in drafting, or released.
- Troubleshoot details, materials, or field conflicts.
- Maintain a heightened level of customer and project team communication to ensure alignment on current and forthcoming project status.
- Update ERP system order notes as necessary.
- Maintain both electronic and physical files/folders.
- Implement and deliver solution-driven strategies.
- Work closely with production and purchasing to proactively address material requirements and deadlines.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to Project Manager I and II as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Required experience with building facades, exterior design, and construction.
- Five to ten years of proven and demonstrable success in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods/processes.
- Proficiency in BPCS, Windows Office programs, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously.
- Experience reviewing architectural and structural drawings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret rough or detailed sketches, designs, specifications, and architectural/structural drawings.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and work with contractors.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Excel spreadsheets.
- 25% travel required.
Pay
Annual Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000. Range varies by experience and geographic market.
