Project Manager-D - Electrical Testing & Maintenance
About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects for a variety of Customers, communicating with various departments, vendors, employees, and customers, and suggesting additional services to enhance and ensure the safety and efficiency of the Customer’s operation.
Responsibilities
- Complete Power Systems Tech duties including inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems.
- MCC’s, Breakers and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.
- Test and calibrate electro-mechanical and solid-state relay.
- Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
- Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
- Total responsibility for awarded jobs includes ordering material and subcontract services, following up on deliveries, meeting customers on-site, scheduling jobs, generating work orders, prioritizing schedules, generating reports, providing technical support, communicating with clients, managing projects, and conducting client communication.
- Communicate with clients, management, and their team for effective problem resolution and information transfer.
- Help manage the ongoing schedule and travel planning to facilitate timely responses to customers.
- Work may require flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
- Must be available for out-of-town work.
- Conduct work in strict compliance with all regulatory laws, safety rules, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of NETA Testing related experience.
- Active NETA III or IV certification preferred.
- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials for troubleshooting circuit breakers and electrical power equipment.
- Experience in a testing environment.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and peers.
- Dependable and responsible with good judgment and organizational skills.
- Good customer service, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
- Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Able to work with various people throughout the organization.

- Available for out-of-town work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for positions utilizing a company vehicle.

$45.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on skillset, certification, and experience, and eligible for overtime.

Additional Information
Job: Full-Time

Compensation: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on skillset, certification, and experience, and eligible for overtime.
Travel: Up to 50% travel.
