The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Project Manager – Corporate Real Estate in our Des Moines, Iowa office. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives on turning plans into reality — leading capital projects that shape the spaces where our teams do their best work.

Project Ownership and Execution

Lead facility-related capital projects from initiation through closeout, including renovations, expansions, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades. Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scope and complexity, keeping timelines, budgets, and deliverables on track.

Planning and Stakeholder Alignment

Facilitate project planning with internal stakeholders to define scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics. Maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle and build strong partnerships that support decision-making and clarity.

Capital and Cost Management

Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure tracking. Monitor spend against approved budgets, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain financial control.

Project Outcomes and Standards

Maintain accountability for safety compliance, quality of execution, timeline adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction. Drive consistency and standardization across facility projects where appropriate.

Vendor and Partner Management

Select, manage, and evaluate external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Ensure contract compliance, scope adherence, and performance expectations are consistently met.

Operational Continuity

Plan and execute projects in a way that minimizes disruption to ongoing operations, coordinating closely with field teams and branch stakeholders — and adjusting plans as needed to support operational needs.

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of project management experience in construction, facilities, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Physical Demand: Moderate.
  • Travel Requirements: Moderate.
