Project Manager- Construction Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale fiber network expansion project in the Piscataway, NJ area. This role is heavily field-focused and ideal for someone with a strong background in FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home), OSP construction, broadband infrastructure, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fiber construction activities across assigned project areas
• Spend approximately 70–75% of time in the field supporting and monitoring construction vendors and contractors
• Verify contractors are working in assigned areas and performing work efficiently
• Conduct quality control inspections of completed construction work
• Review and validate as-built documentation for accuracy
• Audit and confirm contractor invoicing aligns with completed work
• Ensure construction activities meet company, municipal, and industry standards
• Track project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Maintain project reporting and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience supporting telecommunications or utility construction projects
• Strong understanding of FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) networks
• Experience with OSP (Outside Plant) construction practices
• Knowledge of HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) and broadband network infrastructure
• Experience managing and overseeing construction vendors and contractors
• Ability to review and validate construction documentation, as-builts, and invoicing
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting fiber deployment or broadband expansion programs
• Familiarity with telecom construction standards, permitting, and restoration practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and network designs
• Background in telecommunications, cable, broadband, or fiber network construction

This is a Contract position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Work environment is 70–75% field-based.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
