Project Manager - Construction

Responsibilities

• Review engineered mechanical plans and specifications – HVAC, plumbing, piping, gas, and sheet metal
• Create material takeoffs for plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems
• Prepare a complete mechanical bid that includes material, labor, and other applicable costs
• Estimate projects to bid
• Cook up material costs with the Purchasing Team
• Collaborate with outside vendors and subcontractors to compile equipment and subcontract costs
• Coordinate with team members to meet bid deadlines
• Communicate estimation data for review and approval
• Present the project to the customer and manage the project as appropriate
• Go to job sites and evaluate work progress and needs
• Provide technical support to technicians
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years mechanical estimating experience preferred
• Mechanical system knowledge should include heating, cooling, air distribution, building automation, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of CAD and BIM
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to learn and navigate ERP project management system
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and operations
• Valid Driver’s License
