Project Manager - Construction

Remote (Can recruit in Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, Florida, New Hampshire and Connecticut, preference with MA/NH/CT for upcoming projects, Hybrid model with the expectation of time on site and in office (Beverly, MA), circa 3 days a week but flexible based on project needs.)

  • Summary: Sitestream, a Polaris Software company in Beverly, MA, is seeking detail-oriented and motivated team member as a Project Manager. As part of a fast-growing, mission-driven company, you will help ensure that our partner communities receive high-quality, reliable program outcomes.

Position Overview

Sitestream is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate highway based construction support services related to municipal compliance-related construction. This role serves as the operational link between internal teams and third-party construction companies, ensuring work is properly scheduled, tracked, and completed in compliance with local requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the day-to-day operations: Support outsourcing of infrastructure tasks, ensure proper management of contractors, permits, equipment needs, and site logistics.
  • Review and analyze construction drawings: Ensure accurate execution in the field, coordinate with third-party contractors to resolve discrepancies and maintain design intent.
  • Serve as the technical and managerial point of contact: Resolve field issues, constructability concerns, and design conflicts with third-party construction companies.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and approved budgets: Serve as the primary operational point of contact between contractors, customers and internal teams.
  • Ensure work aligns with local / state building requirements and compliance standards: Identify and escalate operational issues, delays, or budget concerns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation: Conduct or coordinate site visits and ensure all physical deployment prerequisites are met.
  • Provide regular project status updates: Provide regular project status updates to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, project operations, or contractor coordination
  • Proven experience managing third-party construction and approval vendors
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and scheduling, ideally in an ITS or highways environment
  • Experience with budget tracking and documentation
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills

Preferred Experience

  • PMP-certified professional with proven experience applying formal project management methodologies to third-party construction oversight
  • Background in compliance-driven, municipal, or inspection-related construction
  • Experience working with permitting offices or inspectors
  • Familiarity with project tracking
