RemoteRemoteConsultingFull-time

Maveneer is an engineering design firm specializing in the design and implementation of distribution center and manufacturing operations, both new and retrofit. We are a rapidly growing startup founded by industry leaders in industrial automation, material handling systems, and operational leadership. We seek exceptionally talented, high-integrity individuals who want to be part of a team that does great work, supports one another, and strives to build a company we can all be proud of.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you will lead clients and a professional team through the full lifecycle of building the concepts we design—from detailed specifications of equipment and systems, bid and supplier selection, manufacturing and delivery, code development, system and equipment installation, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization. You will be the leader of the build effort, ultimately responsible for all planning, execution, risk management, communications, and financial controls across a broad range of stakeholders.

Most importantly, you take extreme ownership in everything you do. You make it happen. You proactively ask for help when needed but do not wait for others to get it done.

Essential Character Traits

  • Honesty: Is unflinchingly honest, although tactful, with others and oneself. Believes and lives by “my word is my bond.”
  • Charitable towards others: Gives others the benefit of the doubt. Offers help whenever possible. Presumes one can always do more to help.
  • Selflessness: Possesses a “team first” attitude. Would prefer to be less noticeable on a superior team than be a standout in an organization that performs less well.
  • Drive for excellence: Constantly seeks to improve one’s knowledge, character, and work quality. Open to constructive feedback.
  • Sense of Humor and Humility: Doesn’t take oneself too seriously. Can interact socially with the team as well as professionally.
  • Intelligence and Efficiency:
    • Highly intelligent and able to develop plans for solving complex problems.
    • Inclined to do the work to understand a problem rather than opine about reasons the work shouldn’t be done or assume the solution is already known.
    • Able to do back-of-the-envelope calculations to solve problems and determine whether additional effort is required.
    • Can be extraordinarily detailed and also high-level; knows exactly what level of analytical resolution is required for the problem at hand.
    • Can distill complex problems into simple, elegant solutions.
    • Is efficient in the use of their time and others’ time.
