Project Manager - Construction
About the role
Based at our client's sites in the Albany area, you will report directly to the Sr. Project Manager and will work alongside other project team members focusing on project in the conception to close out phase. You’ll manage various projects using established controls/procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client's facility and have a full working knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application. Bring your expertise to solve complex problems and provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects. Your ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage various projects using established controls/procedures from conception to close out phase
- Provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, and coordination with designers
- Handle critical issues pertinent to the project or the client's facility
- Manage the change order and cost review process
- Review and approve contractor’s payment applications
- Manage 4-5 projects simultaneously
- Support and engage with Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of construction with projected value above 5 million dollars
- Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building
- Must be able to manage 4-5 projects using established controls/procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Work will require access to secure facilities and employment will require a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Related education, in the form of college credit or degree, or professional certification may be accepted as partial fulfillment of experience years at the director’s discretion
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
