Project Manager- Commercial Doors & Hardware

About the role

Basnight & Sons, a subsidiary of The Steel Network Inc., is celebrating 100 years in the construction industry. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee projects within Division 8 and Division 10, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. In this role, you will handle the full spectrum of project management responsibilities, including high-quality estimates, opportunity management, and precise documentation. You will coordinate with all relevant parties to ensure accurate ordering, delivery, and pricing, upholding the standards of excellence that define Basnight & Sons.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate take-off and estimates for proposals.
• Handle project detailing and purchasing.
• Coordinate project execution with team members and manufacturers.
• Create, manage, and organize job documents efficiently.
• Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using bid tracking software.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and resolve scope conflicts.
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to project success.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Door & Hardware Detailing, Estimating, and Project Management.
• Proficiency in software tools like ComSense and Pro-Tech is preferred.
• Proven experience in project management within construction, building materials, or a related industry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
• Strong knowledge of door and hardware products, materials, and industry standards.
• Locally based in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.
