We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects in a general contractor environment, taking full ownership from preconstruction through closeout. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client that delivers a diverse portfolio of commercial, corporate, healthcare, housing, and institutional projects throughout New England. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving project execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, and field coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial construction projects on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities Oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectivesDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycleLead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and ongoing coordination to ensure efficient project executionReview construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to keep projects moving forwardPartner with field superintendents to resolve construction challenges and maintain project milestonesBuild and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractorsMonitor project financial performance, prepare cost reports, and proactively identify risks that could impact profitabilityLead project meetings and communicate project status with internal leadership and external stakeholdersEnsure all work complies with contract documents, safety requirements, and quality standardsDrive successful project turnover, punch list completion, and final closeout documentation Requirements 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractorProven experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout with direct project ownershipExperience managing commercial, corporate, healthcare, institutional, or multifamily construction projectsStrong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and cost controlAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentationProficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platformsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferredCommercial general contractor experience is required; residential-only project management experience will not be sufficient Benefits Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
