Project Manager – Business Analyst
About the role
We are seeking a versatile Project Manager – Business Analyst combination to optimize project delivery across our Western Region infrastructure portfolio. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering operations, corporate finance, and client groups. You will analyze project spend projections, develop portions of proposals and work with internal marketing systems and review construction cost estimates. The role includes supporting and managing projects including supporting teams with internal accounting systems. This position can be based in any of our offices in CA, AZ or WA.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze project spend projections, budget variances, profitability metrics, and resource allocation across multiple public works contracts.
- Cost Estimate Quality Control: Review draft cost estimates for errors and consistency.
- System Integration: Interface with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing systems.
- Proposal Writing: Author, coordinate, and edit technical and commercial sections of proposals for local, state, and federal clients.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external client groups to align business operations with project goals.
- Project Controls: Manage schedules, track deliverables, and document key progress indicators for infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in business analysis or project management within civil engineering, architecture, or construction management industries.
- Professional comfort level working in varying roles, projects and teams.
- Typical project teams work across multiple time zones.
- Hands-on experience with project accounting and CRM platforms software such as BST and Salesforce, respectively.
- Strong capability to write cohesive business proposals and present complex financial data to technical staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modeling, advanced formulas, Power Query, Macros, or VBA) are a strong plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a closely related quantitative field.
Pay
$85,000 – $143,000 based on location and experience.
