Project Manager - Buildings

Responsibilities
- Manage small to medium-sized programs, task orders, and multidisciplinary projects within the Cities & Places portfolio.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring responsive, solutions focused communication.
- Lead project planning, including scope development, schedule management, work planning, coordination, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee project financials, budget tracking, forecasting, cost control, invoicing coordination, and change management.
- Cook up and coordinate with architectural, engineering, planning, consulting, and support teams to ensure on-time, high quality deliverables.
- Navigate and apply Jacobs’ project delivery processes, tools, and governance requirements.
- Prepare and deliver project status updates, dashboards, reports, and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support proposals, task order responses, and other business development activities within existing and emerging MSAs.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years experience managing small to mid-scale architecture, engineering, planning, or consulting projects.
- Solid grasp of project management fundamentals, scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client communication.
- Knowledge and implementation of financial acumen, including estimating and monitoring ETC/EAC and earned value.
- Ability to operate independently with limited oversight while managing multiple projects or task orders.
- Familiarity with project management tools and workflows (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Oracle, Polaris, or similar platforms).
- Strong communication skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supporting or managing projects under Master Service Agreements (MSAs), IDIQs, or task order contract structures.
- Prior experience delivering projects within the Cities & Places market sectors (buildings, civic, corporate, higher ed, planning, etc.).
- PMP, PgMP, or other recognized project management certification.
- Experience with large firm project delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with architectural/engineering production workflows and technical coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships and contribute to growth opportunities.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
