About the role

Whiting-Turner is a 'National ENR Top 25 General Contractor' committed to fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture. We are seeking a project manager with 3 to 15+ years of experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team, schedule, and costs while ensuring safety and quality on complex projects.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team.
  • Solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate subcontract trades.
  • Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and on-site management teams.
  • Prepare schedules and manage project progress.
  • Handle financial impacts on site.
  • Write scope and define project requirements.
  • Negotiate change orders.
  • Manage project accounting and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage projects with minimal delays.
  • Track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Experience managing financial impacts on site.
  • Knowledge of construction principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Practitioner of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, Construction Technology.

Preferred Skills

  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction principles.
  • Ambition to advance professionally.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 15+ years of experience in the industry, a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, Construction Technology, and a proven ability to manage projects with minimal delays.
