Project Manager

Position Purpose

Project Managers (PM’s) play the lead role in planning, developing, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects. They are accountable for the entire project scope, budget, team, and resources, leading to the successful execution of the project.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Spends approximately 85% of their time performing as a Project Manager for active projects or bidding.
• Spend 10% of their time contributing to organizational and departmental improvements.
• Spend 5% towards continuing education.
• Support and participate in Project delivery, may travel approximately 30% of their time.

Risk Monitoring and Delay Management

• Active Management of Project financials.
• Bidding & Development.
• Commercial, Contractual & Legal.
• Project Finances & Budgets.
• Organizational Relationships & Participation.
• Continuous Improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED, plus 5+ years experience in Entertainment Industry or Project Management OR Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Theatre or Live Event related field, plus 2+ years’ experience in Entertainment Industry or Project Management.
• The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Strong knowledge of following software: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project scheduling (e.g. MS Project, Asana), Budget management and analysis (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (e.g. Epicor, SAP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (e.g. Zendesk, Salesforce), Content Management System (e.g. Box, SharePoint, Google Drive).
• Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes and principles.
• The ability to be in office Monday - Friday, with travel to job sites up to 30%.

Preferred Experience

• Project management experience in concert touring, cruise ships, theatre venues, and/or theme parks.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proven track record of managing profitable projects.
• Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects.
• Cost estimation and control.
• Risk management.
• Familiarity with Slack.

Work Conditions and Physical Effort

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee regularly operates a computer, including typing, using a mouse or keyboard, and viewing the screen for extended periods.
• While the role does not require regular lifting or physical exertion, there may be occasional onboarding programs or training opportunities that create opportunities for more exposure to physical tasks or new environments (sites, venues, etc.).
