Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Lead regular client meetings to review performance, KPIs, and project updates.
- Address escalations promptly and implement corrective actions to maintain client trust and confidence.
- Takes ownership for validating the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the client, including both technical and commercial elements, and is the lead contact for the client.
- Develops a schedule and communicates with the client to ensure expectations are being met.
- Direct engagement with client maintenance planning teams and third-party vendors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience serving as a project team lead, project manager, facilities manager, or in a related leadership role, preferably within a data center environment.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electrical power distribution equipment and its application in mission-critical environments, including switchgear, UPS systems, fire and security systems, and other building systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop Supervisors or Team Leads.
- Experience guiding and developing project teams to drive performance improvements and achieve measurable results.
- Strong client-facing skills with a solid background in customer service, relationship management, and conflict resolution.
- Effectively resolves issues through direct client engagement, resulting in positive feedback and strengthened long-term relationships.
- Strong technical acumen with familiarity in data center operations and facility systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of building and IT infrastructure systems, including but not limited to medium-voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, fire and security systems, as well as cooling and heating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both clients and internal team members.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with expertise in reporting and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, as well as other computer tools and software commonly used for project management, data analysis, and team collaboration.
- Certifications: EPA-608 Universal, OSHA 10, OSHA 30; PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred but not required.
