Project Manager

About the role

The MEP Project Manager leads the coordination and management of infrastructure construction projects, focusing on MEP trade work and project completion. Key responsibilities include estimating project costs, ensuring compliance with regulatory processes, overseeing subcontractors, developing schedules, and communicating progress.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project costs and scope, including MEP equipment, labor, NJDOH, enabling costs, etc.
• Understand and adhere to NJDCA and NJDOH processes for project filings.
• Review and approve materials and equipment for MEP systems before installation.
• Monitor installation and commissioning of MEP systems, and coordinate with engineers and owners.
• Communicate project progress and prepare reports as needed.
• Represent and facilitate project processes at weekly meetings.
• Supervise and mentor project staff, if applicable.
• Ensure project completion and budget adherence.
• Manage equipment quality, including reviewing specifications, bid analyses, POs, submittals, and installations.
• Support preconstruction activities to maintain consistency across projects.
• Perform periodic site inspections and report construction issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with project design and construction teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of construction experience in infrastructure projects, preferably in healthcare.
• Expertise in MEP construction and construction means and methods.
• Knowledge of critical facility operational requirements and commissioning processes.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical abilities to navigate construction sites safely.

$125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
