About the role
RS&H is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead roadway/highway design teams and projects in Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative solutions to solve client projects
- Manage plan production, specifications, reports, and estimates
- Client communication/management
- Managing subconsultants
- Supervising and mentoring roadway/highway staff
- Cross-discipline coordination and communication
- Quality control on deliverables
- Project schedule and budget management
- Marketing and business development support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 7+ years experience performing and managing roadway design projects
- North Carolina professional engineering (PE) registration
- Multidisciplinary staff management experience
- Experience with NC DOT and NC municipal clients
- Working knowledge of OpenRoads, MicroStation, and/or Corridor Modeling
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality control management
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing highway design, alternative delivery, and/or GEC projects for NCDOT
- 7+ years NC DOT and/or NC municipal experience in design and project management
- Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer
- Proven ability and desire in marketing, business development, quality management, and associate development
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined design team
