Essential Functions
- Manages the Client and project team to deliver projects meeting the Client's project goals and outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison with clients, assisting with all project-related decisions.
- Plans, organizes, and directs project management functions throughout the project phases: preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
- Manages the contractor from buyout to closeout, overseeing risk management, quality assurance, safety, and overall project execution.
- Maintains budget and schedule control during the project lifecycle.
- Produces and manages cost and status reports aligned with the Client's objectives.
- May manage and mentor an internal team of project support or work independently.
- Contributes to team performance through collaboration and effective communication.
- Adds value to the project by identifying opportunities to achieve the desired outcomes.
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
- Often works in an indoor office environment.
- Uses computers and standard office machines.
- Essential physical tasks include: working on a computer, answering and speaking on a telephone, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
- Body agility is emphasized.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, or relevant experience.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a variety of building types and construction management through all phases of construction.
- Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, with practical and logical qualities, strong problem-solving skills, and good numeracy and financial management skills.
- Able to write clear and precise reports and explain complex information to a diverse range of people.
- Able to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, including Microsoft Project.
