Project Manager
About the role
PCI is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its PCI Portland 553 operations based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Responsibilities
- Earn revenue and margin for projects through estimation, bidding, and securing work.
- Manage customer relationships to ensure profitable execution of work.
- Direct and oversee construction activities to maximize margin contribution.
- Analyze and interpret contract documents, including terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements.
- Manage job site personnel to maintain positive relations with various stakeholders.
- Implement loss control and claims management programs related to workers' compensation.
- Monitor and adjust actual costs against estimates to identify and address unfavorable variances.
- Utilize an effective job control system on each project.
- Estimate and bid a significant portion of work applicable to the respective region.
- Solicit assistance from the estimating department for maximum bidding activity.
- Negotiate contract issues, variances, change orders, scope changes, claims, and other project-related matters.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of Construction Management work experience.
- Experience in data center/semiconductor, framing, exterior cladding, grid, RAF, mechanical, and commercial insulation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
- High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
- Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
- Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and keep them on schedule while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the company.
- Must be flexible and enjoy working in a diverse group in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
- Experience with working with union representatives.
- Local to Salt Lake City metro area.
- Relocation eligibility.
Salary Range
$94,000 - $126,000, plus a non-guaranteed annualized bonus program. This position is safety sensitive.
