Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineers, architects, and other workers in the same project.
• Chooses subcontractors and delegates responsibilities.
• Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects ranging in size.
• Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships.
• Prepares project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications.
• Communicates district and corporate information to the project team as well as keeping OM/GM updated.
• Creates and executes project work plans.
• Manages costs and program documentation.
• Effectively oversees subcontract management.
• Coaches and develops staff.
• Implements and monitors Safety and Hazard communication programs.
• Maintains Quality Control and works in tandem with Site Superintendent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• MUST have Heavy/Highway experience project management experience.
• Minimum 5-8 years of project experience in heavy/highway construction.
• Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail oriented.
