Project Manager
About the Role
As part of Jacobs' global Program Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) team, you will serve as an Owner’s Representative, managing public-sector projects from inception through occupancy. This client-facing role focuses on ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, scope, contract compliance, and safety across multiple simultaneous projects valued at $15–20M each. You will report directly to the Program Manager or Regional Manager and work on-site with the client’s program management team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall project delivery, including cost, schedule, quality, information, and contracts for multiple assignments.
- Manage project development from conception through completion in alignment with program objectives.
- Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, scope, design/construction contracts, documents, procedures, and controls.
- Review and approve consultant invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders; coordinate with the Control Manager for reporting.
- Create and negotiate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts using client-standard documents.
- Ensure construction adherence to design requirements.
- Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings to monitor progress, report to end-users, and resolve project issues.
- Resolve complex design and construction-related disputes or disagreements.
- Monitor variances in project databases for scheduling and cost control.
- Serve as the primary client contact, requiring excellent communication skills.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an Owner, Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization.
- Direct oversight experience of Design Consultants and Contractors.
- 10+ years of experience in a project-related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of pre-design/pre-construction, building systems, contract management, project delivery methods, and client relationship-building.
Preferred certifications: Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect license.

Pay
Base salary range: $130,000–$160,000. Individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
