About the role
A dynamic Project Manager role focused on overseeing large-scale construction projects within a hybrid remote environment. This position involves coordinating internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as the primary internal point of contact for project-related information, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.
- Captures and coordinates meetings between internal departments, consultants, and senior project managers to align project activities.
- Maintains organized project files, including contracts, drawings, permits, correspondence, and change documents.
- Tracks and logs RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change notices to support project documentation.
- Supports budget updates, cost forecasting, and expenditure tracking in collaboration with finance teams.
- Captures and coordinates procurement activities for owner-supplied items such as furniture, equipment, and IT systems.
- Maintains project schedule milestones and communicates key dates to internal teams.
- Tracks contractor progress reports and highlights schedule concerns to project leadership.
- Aids in coordinating commissioning, training, and handover activities for building systems.
- Tracks close-out documents, warranties, manuals, and as-built drawings to ensure comprehensive project completion.
- Prepares weekly or monthly project status summaries, updated logs, meeting minutes, and action item trackers.
- Supports project close-out documentation and archive management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years managing commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential construction projects.
- Proven experience overseeing project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and vendors, handle change orders, and process RFIs.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction in regulated or complex environments.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in move-in planning and operational transition.
